Strikingly (check out our review of them here), in conjunction with CAS Holdings, TEEC Angel, Y Combinator and Infinity Venture Capital Fund and Innovation Works, recently finished a $6 million in Series A financing.
The online web platform helps people to create mobile-optimized websites without design or coding. The company follows a mobile first, web second approach to website development, with pages optimized for tablets, smartphones, and desktops. With Strikingly, users just need to create a single site.
The site helps to decrease the amount of time spent in building a site by offering pre-designed layouts and templates. The company uses the money it makes from premium plan subscriptions to develop its various features. The premium plan enables users to connect with custom domains and eliminate the Strikingly brand.
The company said the funding for its Series A would enable them to include even more features to the mobile editor, with the goal to lure more consumers to the mobile-first markets such as Southeast Asia.
